The photo contest is open to people of all ages and backgrounds who have visited Venice and wish to share their passion for photography. It is reserved for amateur photographers, and it consists of 12 monthly competitions that expire on the last day of each month.

We award 12 monthly winners, finalists for the Grand Prize, plus some Special Prizes.

All participants, even if not selected, get digital exposure of their photos at a Venetian art gallery and the chance to compete for special prizes.

Sign up now so you have a better chance of winning, possibly trying again between now and the end of the year. Each month the contest is renewed and you will be able to submit your photos again.

The 1st edition’s Grand Winner (2015-2016) is Annik Susemihl (Germany).

The 3rd edition’s Grand Winner (2018) is Jaroslav Mares (Czech Republic).

The 6th edition’s Grand Winner (2021) is Hana Fialova (Czech Republic).

Every day 24/7 you can submit your best photos of Venice. The earlier you enter them, the better, as the monthly awarded photographers will compete for the Grand Prize:

The Grand Winner wins a stay in Venice and a personal photography exhibition, while the monthly winners win their participation in both a physical and virtual group exhibition, a print, and a critical review of their work.

Because of the pandemic, variations in prizes and partners are possible. We’ll keep you posted.

Giudecca 795 Art Gallery is one of the operating partners of OneDayinVenezia: this contemporary art gallery is located on the Venetian island of Giudecca. Interested in young artists and new talents, since 2007 it has organized several exhibitions and events, far from the logic of mass tourism. In this environment, in 2015 the contest was born, wishing to encourage especially those who consider photography as a part of their lives, even if still with some technical uncertainty (that’s why professional photographers are not admitted to the contest).
