I really recommend Easy Italian Language and Art school for anyone wanting to improve their level of Italian. The classes I had with Michele were not only interesting and fun but also gave my grammar, vocabulary and speaking levels a real boost. He used a great variety of teaching materials, and the semi-historical tour (with Michele) and the art history course (with Marco) completed the language immersion experience perfectly. I could understand quite a lot of Italian before, but thanks to the 3 weeks I spent at the school, I can now speak it too and am really motivated to continue learning.

It coordinates Venice International University courses of Italian for foreigners (V.I.U. is a consortium of 17 university from all over the worls: Università di Ca' Foscari and I.U.A.V Venice, LMU Muenchen, Tel Aviv University, Waseda Tokyo, Boston College, Université de Bordeaux, Université de Lausanne, Duke Durham, Tsinghua Beijing and Tongj Shangai) and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste .

It runs internships and work placements for the Postgraduate Teaching programme of Italian for Foreigners of Ca' Foscari University, Laboratorio Itals.

4worldlovers: The "International Summer Academy Venice for Fine Arts and Media" has been completed in its previous form. New models in the form of "Advanced Studies Ateliers" are under discussion.

Teaching in masterclass courses will no longer take place. On the one hand an era is coming to an end, on the other hand we are building new models based on the experience gained.

We are grateful to each and every participant and lecturer for having contributed to the fact that this school could develop in exactly this way.

The Venice Summer Academy has always been a place for creative coming together of artists and lecturers from all over the world. We have gained a lot of experience over the course of these 16 years and implemented projects.

Since the "International Summer Academy for Fine Arts and Media" will no longer be continued in this form, we will summarize and publish the most important findings in an anthology.

The International Summerschool of Fine Arts and Media | Venice is grounded in the tradition of Black Mountain College and Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center.

Our interdisciplinary approach welcomes students of all skill levels and backgrounds to our idyllic location in Venice, where the school was founded in 2003. The school partners with the Venice Biennale, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Francois Pinault’s collection at the Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana.

Students enrolled in our summer art classes will find a global teaching staff, peers from more than 15 nations, and classes geared toward everyone from the complete beginner to the advanced career artist.

The courses are scheduled weekly, allowing students to immerse themselves in an interdisciplinary and creative environment. The master classes start on Monday and end on Sunday. Saturday evening is the exhibition of the work of the students curated by the teaching professors.

As the International Summer Academy Venice has to facilitate high end art and innovative experimenting, the classes will be divided in 2 weeks of training and 2 weeks of innovative studios. During the first 2 weeks training in different art disciplines will be offered as it has been offered in the recent years. During the second 2 weeks artists will work in their own studios for individual or small group work. In order to support interdisciplinary work, we will invite a New Media expert to assist the project work during this time. Artist are welcomed to book a studio for their individual project work during one or two weeks.
